Philological Library Berlin

The Library by Foster + Partners combines a concrete structure with diaphanous dome in a water-drop like shape. This unique form has earned the library the nickname the ”Berlin Brain“. In a place where students would spend hundreds of hours the search for the perfect environment to study was guided by natural light and open spaces. Our SE 68 chairs are placed at the reading desks that run continuously around each floor plate. The grey color of the seat and back rest of the chairs work well together with the grey floors and grey shelves.
